The velveteen rabbit

Duke is thrilled about the brand new musical adaptation of Margery Williams’ beloved children’s classic,The Velveteen Rabbit coming to the Lyric Theatre in Belfast, starting this week!

Brilliantly re-imagined by Jan Carson and with music written by Duke, this heart-warming story, set in the bold, colourful 1980s, is about a young boy, his favourite toy, and the transformative power of love.

Duke says:- “Writing songs for the Replay and Lyric co-production of The Velveteen Rabbit has been a joy and has given me the opportunity to immerse myself in musical toys, Casio beats and of course, nursery magic. It has been a pleasure to work with Jan Carson and the whole team, and I can’t wait to see it come to life on the stage.”
